Red Shield Youth Center of Texarkana: Setting up with Just Love & Kindness for their annual Homeless event where 8 area school districts come together to pack kits filled with blankets, gloves, socks, hygiene items and other necessities. Later they will drop these items off at Randy Sam’s and The Salvation Army of Texarkana Center of Hope family shelter. This is an amazing event that shines a light on the needs of the homeless community. Currently there are over 15 children staying in the Center of Hope that will probably remain there throughout the Holidays, most of these children attend our Club afterschool where they get a meal, homework help and lifeskills classes each day.
This event is such a blessing not only to the people who receive these items but also the students who put them together and deliver them.
