On Sat May 6th we held the first community unity event in Texarkana @ the Four States Fairgrounds.
146 students registered to attend, and we were so grateful to be able to have a day of fun, uniting as one community. We had four guest speakers, Rhashad Thrower, Summer Whittington, Latorya Eddings-Crabtree and Laura Klein, each speaking wisdom and truth to young hearts and minds. We hope that by hearing these mothers stories of loss will impact the students in such a way that they make wise choices in life, and avoid the trappings of societal norms.
Special thanks goes out to; TASD-Jamie Harris, LEISD -Traci Thompson, and Betty Yarber, Hooks ISD- Crystal Roach, TISD-Brittney Brookes, and Genoa ISD-Dani Fike for supporting our cause.
We can not thank our volunteers who made this happen, special mentions go out to Cole Fomby and Chasity Russell for their help in preparation, set up and tear down, it’s a lot of work, thank you both we love you. And we couldnt forget Cadence Heath and Olivia 2123, thank you ladies. To our board and host of volunteers we are so very grateful to each of you.
It takes an entire community of people who must provide for and interact positively with children for those children to experience and grow in a safe and healthy environment.
We hope you got a I Love You and Thank you text from your child
